"I am the Spring," it said. "I have been here since the beginning."

"Why do you hide?" Brook asked.

"I do not hide. I wait for those who seek."

Brook touched the water. It was warm, alive.

"The garden needs you," she said.

"The garden has me," the Spring replied. "I flow through streams, rise as dew, fall as rain. I am everywhere."

She returned to the garden and told the fairies.

The fairies began to see water differently-in every drop, every stream, every puddle.

Brook became known as the Seeker Fairy, reminding the garden that magic is not distant. It is within.

She still visits the cave, sitting by the pool, listening to the Spring's stories.

"You found me," the Spring says.

"I found myself," Brook replies.

The garden still blooms, watered by the hidden spring that is not hidden at all.
